so the new nvidia drivers have put nvidia ahead of ati in the dx9 performance stakes allowing greater AA and AF settings. I told all you ati fangirls this would happen so i just thought i'd gloat a dit and say suck poo. Also ati seem to be a bit unreliable when it comes to benchmarks. HAhA so ati are crap , lolz.

If he doesn't die, he'll get help!!!

In order to see that you need REAL DX9 games. And no, it is not ahead of Ati. Far cry is the best way to see that.

First of all your post is written in a manner I'd guess you are 13, maybe 14 years old tops. Anyway, without some links as proof, you are just making yourself look like a big nvIDIOT. What DX 9 Games and benchmarks are you refering to? Or are you just gloating ahead of time as you are assuming/believeing the Forware 2.0's will be better. If so, how sad. Yeah gloat on, that sure is "stomping!" Go back to teasing and bugging your sister, little boy, and stay off the hardware forums.

Edit: this guy isn't a stranger, so is he joking or does he just pop in to share such intelligent information?

yes this post is not even worth a comment, he sounds not a day past 12 years old.

Try posting when you have something infomative, with some kind of intelligence behind it.

And some Proof!

If Nvidia was a person, he'd have his fingers firmly planted in Rramjet's anus.

P.S. Ati's shaders are still more powerful. Deal with it, then move on.

There will come a day when NVidia will be back at the top. With ATI languishing in the shawdows of the true graphical greatness that is NVidia.

And I look forward to it.

If and when that happens, at least they will have to claw their way up. The competion and nvidia's fall of power was good for all of us. If it weren't for ATI's woopin of NVidia, Nvidia would have had no reason to relase the FX cards, or at least no reason to improve their 5800U leaf blower. I bet FX5950 owners are happy ATI has pushed them to build better hardware and more importantly, get there drivers up to speed. Otherwise High end Nvidia freaks would be deaf by now and be getting 10-15 fps in DX 9.0 games.

A good point. I was glad that ATI took it to NVidia, forcing them to build better cards (Well, at least try to anyways!)Having once owned a number of Radeons, which I was happy with, bar one, I've returned to the NVidia camp by getting a 5900XT. Although not the best card in the world, its performance is oustanding. But it is good to see NVidia crawling back. This can only be a good thing for gamers. As this will push ATI to make even better cards. But there will be a day when the tables will be turned. And once again, It can only be good for gamers.

There may indeed be a day when Nvidia will be on top again. It's probable even, and when the time comes I will happily purchase one of their cards if it offers the best price/performance in my price range.
I've owned Geforces before, and they have provided me some of the best gamplay experiences I've ever had.

But for now, I'm man enough to admit that Ati's hardware is better.

Unlike the whiney Nvidiots.

Has long has it's feature full, fast and reliable with stable and frequently updated drivers I'm a happy guy, no matter the brand.

Also thank god theres competition, we don't want a bloody hardware version of Microsoft Monopoly...

I too admit that ATI hardware is the best out there(FOR THE MOMENT). The 5900XT I currently have, was my best option at the time. And opted for it on the good price/good performance ratio.

P.S I don't consider myself a fully fledged NVidia fan. I'm happy to switch from camp to camp, when the moment warrants it.

Nvidia gave me probably the best gameplay I had.. Spending all those nights with my Gf256DDR and quake...tomb raider...etc etc. But now I've bought a Radeon because it's simply superior. But some times I think is unfair to see such dispise for Nvidia..

Haha, rramjet, you did a good job of trolling. Why all the animosity with this ATI-NVidia business? Nvidia was on top, ATI is now on top, and things will probably flip flop again and again down the road.

the only decent ati card in the price performance in the 9800 the rest are crap asking huge dollars for a mid range 9600' s that in real game performance dont do any better than a ti4200. At least nvidia have their products price througjhout the range. Can get a good performing 5200fx cheap right up through to the most powerful gpu on the market , the 5950./ Ati just cant compete, anyone who has paid toi much for the 9600s which are always overpriced must have to be a pure retard.

If he doesn't die, he'll get help!!!

Ramjet, you made a huge mistake. You used the words "GOOD" "Performing" and "FX5200" in the same sentence.

Read THG on the new 5950 Ultra, and you will see that ATI's 9800 XT still kicks ass, if their hardware can't beat ATI, i can't imagine a piece of software will. Oh, and BTW, if you have a look at the benchmarks for AA and the like....you will see that ATI handles it WAY better and in DX8 games like C & C generals, even the 9600 XT kicks the 5950's ass. Grow up and go back to your game boy.

Far cry plays incredible on my 9800pro 128......
UT2004 I downloaded and played, looks great too but far cry is visually more appealing, and I like the gameplay better too.

Just some feed back.......I've set all settings in both UT2004 and far cry at the highest levels and game play is great. As far as I see it, NVDA may be able to match or slightly beat ATI AA/AF performance BUT the basics are these facts....

ATI achieved solid image quality via high efficiency hardware.
NVDA achieved great speed (especially openGL) via higher clock speeds and faster memory and driver optimizations.

ATI could impliment driver optimizations and higher clock speeds.....NVDA needs to severly redesign the chip. That is the reason why ATI is better right now.......

PS did you know that Nvidia reports quarterly earnings at the end of today????
