I bought a Ti4200 BGP Asylum 128MB graphics card two months ago from TigerDirect-the card failed. I retd the card and need to replace it with another vid card, comparable in performance for gaming primarily. I paid $110 in total-TigerDirect wants to give me credit but I am gunshy to buy another vid card from TD. What vid card do you recommend that performs as well as the Ti4200 for the same price?
Thank you.

This is going to sound stupid, but: Ti4200. If you're changing cards because they don't stock it anymore, an ATi 9600(Pro) would be your next best choice. Go for the Pro if you can spring the extra money. DO NOT GET THE 9600SE!

If you're switching from the Ti4200 because you don't trust another...don't worry, failures aren't common, just get another one.

I owned a Leadtek GF4 Ti 4200 128Mb ViVO and swapped it for a BBA 9600 Pro. If the 9600 Pro is not alot more cash get it. You won't notice a huge performance increase in DX8 games but you will notice a difference in DX9 games and overall IQ.

If you don't have the extra cash get another GF4 Ti. Pound for pound it is the best card in the budget class.
