Permission required to open files

Hello,
any suggestions to the following when trying to open outlook to read e-mails, no problem until a few days ago, what have I done?:I do not have the permission require to access the file?

Does the account your using in windows have administrative rights?

Navigate to Outlook within the Microsoft Office folder then right-click on the file Outlook, select 'run as administrator'.

This will also let us know if your default login to windows gives you admin priveleges. We can the procede with a more permanent solution.
