My neice tried to exit a program that had frozen and was indiscriminately
pressing keys. Now the monitor and the mouse functions are inverted. How
can I return them to normal? I have tried pressing crtl+alt+direction key
and it didn't work.

What do you mean monitor and mouse is inverted? Are the mouse buttons
switched? Is the image on your screen upsidedown? I've ever seen that
before.

Hi JB,

If your PC uses an Intel graphics chip, you can try the
<ctrl>+<alt>+<arrow up>/<arrow down> combination to rotate the screen.

If not, your graphics card may have similar rotate feature with
assigned hot-keys.

Jim

Hi JB,

If your PC uses an Intel graphics chip, you can try the key
combinations <CTRL>+<ALT>+<arrow up>/<arrow down> to rotate the screen.

If you are using another graphics card, it may have a similar feature.

When you get it fixed create a password-less account for her and any
other transients that may wander by that has absolutely *no* privileges.
Mine is titled 'OurGuests' with a pretty picture next to it. The
transients eventually wander away when they find they can't do a damn
thing other than play Solitaire or surf the net with a 'Super-Netnanny'
(sort of a NetGranny) helping hand. Strongly password protect all other
accounts, that is what the NT line is all about.
