I have a user who cannot get to the internet or recieve e-mails. Up until
earlier today she could do both. The network is up and everyone else is
working on it fine. She has dynamic IP addressing and in ipconfig shows
correct ip address, sub
net mask, gateway & DNS. I tried a release and renew but got.

"An error occured while releasing interface local area connection : access
is denied"

i checked all of the cords and when i log in as admin i can got to net but
still have
e-mail issues. I couldn't find too much about the error except it may be a
winsock registry corruption.

Does anyone have any info on how to fix this or what is is?
Thanks,
Matt

Teo, you may want to post to a regular networking newsgroup or contact the
support section for the hardware which is in use. I'd suggest perhaps
something is corrupt/damaged in the user's account or with whatever email
program is in use. This newsgroup supports the home users with Microsoft's
Broadband Networking hardware and software, not networking in general.
