You just beat me to it, I was all excited about being the first to post about this new cool looking game. I'm installing the Exclusive Retailer demo that I got today. I'm not sure if it's different, better or worse than the one on file planet. I installed it on my notebook that has a P4 2.4B and R7500 vid card and it was a slideshow. We'll see how it is on my R9500Pro desktop. Looks good, I hope it plays well.

OMG!!! This game rocks!!! Incredible lighting effects. Is this a new engine?? This game came out of no where and is awesome. Really great bullet time effects. I was gonna get a good night sleep tonight, but now I guess not!
PS. GW, in the demo you have, do you start out with a cemetary to your right and all those skeleton guys come from the ground?

The graphics and physics are excellent but its too much like Serious Sam. Run into an area, kill a few monsters, move on. As for the gameplay, i'm not impressed. There's nothing to challenge you. Clearly this game is missing something, say for instance, a storyline, good gameplay and lastability. This game has none of them

Give me Serious Sam any day!

Storyline? It's a demo! Wait for the game to see if there's a storyline. If you played the demo of Halo, you wouldn't be able to get the storyline, but Halo has a great one. I saw your post on b3d about the two video options that you could not use and you thought that maybe you needed an Nvidia card to use those options. I have an Nvidia card and I could not use those options either. Maybe because it's just the demo. We eill see when the real game comes out. I wonder if it will be on DVD as well?

It's a good looking game, but it's like serious sam with zombies and I passed the demo in under 10 minutes.

Definitely has awesome graphics effects though.

Hrmmm...it really looked cooler in the preview movie. I guess it's much better when you've got hard rock blazing in the background. I agree with the guy who said it was like Serious Sam. But at least Sam had a sense of humor and some cooler guns. Granted, the stake launcher/grenade launcher is innovative, but the gameplay is just too linear. Walk into a room, strafe around enemies, kill them, repeat. Meh, maybe it's too soon to tell, but it's just a little too plain for me.

I have two demos, one is a retailers demo, and the other is the one that everyone can get off the web. Personally, I think this game rocks, I tried the multiplayer that is in my retailers demo and it's really cool, they have an awesome mode called "people can fly" which is sweet. The game reminds me alot of Quake 1 gameplay wise, which is a great thing. For anyone that thinks it's like Serious Sam, I kinda see that, but SS doesn't have the graphics or sound or physics of Painkiller, also don't forget the awesome effects of bullet-time and when the screen goes all red, black and white, pretty creepy.
