How can I get decent HDTV output from a 9800 Pro 256 MB card? I have the component adapter that ATI sells, but thus far I have been limited to 640 x 480. Is there any way to get a playable resolution out of this card?

You may have to set the DIP switches on the adapter.

My television supports 480i, 480p, and 1080i. I have the DIP switches set to support those three. The output to the television is very clear, but the ATI settings tab will not allow the resolution to exceed 640 x 480. I was wondering if there was a particular program suited to this purpose.

Some quality HDTVs have a DVI input - does yours? That could solve all your problems.

POST is way overrated, the black screen and beeps should be enough for most people.

I am connected to the HDTV using an ATI component adapter, which runs through the DVI Output on my computer. It does run properly when triggered using the YPbPr tab on the multiple displays window. Unfortunately, my TV is not so high end as to have a DVI or VGA input. The computer attaches to it through component cables. I'm just trying to boost the available resolution of the output that I am getting.

Thanks for all the input, by the way. I really appreciate it.
