I currently own an Enlight case w/a 300W power supply and want to know if you custom computer building gurus think I have enough power to upgrade to a 9800Pro? I would also like to know if a 4x AGP port would have any effect on performance (although I've read 8x AGP is over kill). Here are my system specs:

Athlon 1900+ retail
Corsair XMS PC2100 512MB
Abit KR7A (via kt266a chipset)
2 * 7200 RPM HDD's (60 GB ATA-133 Maxtor, 40 GB ATA-100 IBM)
Creative Live 5.1 OEM Sound Card
Asus 52x24x12x CD-Burner
Floppy drive
Linksys 10/100 NIC
ATI Radeon 8500 64MB (want to replace with 9800pro :)

So to reiterate: Will my 300W power supply handle the addition of a 9800pro and will a 4x AGP port instead of a 8x AGP port affect performance. One last thing: Why are Sapphire cards so much cheaper than all the others? I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Are these cards reliable and just as fast as other brands? Thanks everyone for your input.

I have a 300W suply and it can handle the 9800Pro. But I had to turn my second cd-rom off. The diference is minimal between 4x and 8x. I've tried in my pc both and had no effect in games.

P4-2800->FSB800, Asus P4P800, 512DDR-400, Radeon 9800 Pro - 128Mb

Enlight does make a decent PSU. Try it out, just leave enough extra money in your budget in case you need to buy a new one. It'll probably work just fine. If you do need to get a new PSU, the people here highly recommend the FSP 350/400W units with the huge 120mm fan.

different speed if u use mainboard support agp 8x,also different voltage if u use agp 8x.more faster too if u use agp 8x.but i,ve read the magazine if u use vga with 256 mb u have a cpu min. P4 2.6 for better performance.
I think u should change power supply pure 350 watt.

amd 2600+
radeon 9800xt 256mb
512 corsair ddr 333
gigabyte 7vaxp ultra
