Work laptop/Mild-mid gaming

I have an Asus G60VX, which is pretty powerful for most games, however its weight makes near impossible to carry on a daily basis. I am willing to sell the laptop if there is a good alternative available in the market.

1. What is your budget?
Around $500, no more than $600

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
nothing less than 11.6", No more than 15"

3. What screen resolution do you want?
nothing specific

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
portable, but nothing thats too weak

5. How much battery life do you need?
at least 4 hours, preferably 6-8 if possible.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
It should be able to run something like Skyrim at low settings, but at a playable framerate (40-60 fps)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Word Processing, Excel, C++ compiler, Linux, some autocad

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
at least 200gb

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
I would prefer to purchase it form ebay for the ebay bucks, but otherwise it can be from anywhere
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
laptop does;t need to have an optical drive

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
no preference

USA

I've been recommended a Thinkpad x130e, however after reading some reviews about it being too expensive for the hardware that it comes with, I'm not so sure whether its the best choice out there now.
