once upon a time i had a 9700 pro. it was defective, so i had to return, and i decided to get an nvidia instead. well, i deleted all the ati software stuff, yet in the Add/Remove programs under control panel, something called ATI Control Panel is still listed. i try to remove it, and the box comes up telling me that the uninstallation is getting ready. the progress bar fills up.....and nothing happens after that. how do i get rid of this ATI stuff?

Go to START / RUN / type REGEDIT, when REGEDIT opens do a Ctrl+F to find "ATI" related reg keys. You should find the reg key that's still there for your add/remove programs. Delete the reg key. Close Regedit and your done. Just REMEMBER to back up your reg before attempting to delete any keys. Be very careful of what you delete. You will find out real quick if you deleted the wrong key.
