I currently have a Dell 8200, 1.7 ghz, 512 rdram and MSI G4 TI4800se 128. I was Looking at the Asus ATI Radeon 9800 pro 256x256 and was wondering if this would deffinately improve my graphics with my current cpu or is my cpu too lame to handle the card?

it would definately give you a huge boost. But you may still may not be able to run all gamex at max res. or max quality.

But definately a good improvement.Later when games start to feel slow again upgrade the cpu.

I aint signing nothing!!!

It will be a good upgrade, but a faster CPU will be useful.

I appreciate the replies, thank you.
I understand a faster cpu would be helpfull but not possible budget wise right now. My main concern is down the road when i do upgrade. I know right now there is no performance difference between the 128 meg cards and 256 meg cards but down the road when newer, more graphic intensive games come out, will the 256 cards outperform the 128's? I dont want to buy a 128 and have it be obsolete when newer games come out. Thanks for the help!

128 meg video cards should be supported for more than 2 years to come, I reckon.
