Alright, been a long time I posted in the forums for a problem I've been having. Here is my problem:
My 17" Lite-On Technologies monitor that I've had for a good 5 or 6 years has started going bad on me from what I can tell. Occasionally the video on the monitor starts to get garbled and sort of static-like near the left and right edges, sometimes it goes across the screen on the horizontal. It is hard to describe, but it started getting really bad yesterday. Its plugged into my video card via a little convertor since my Geforce 4 Ti4600 only has 2 DVI connectors (it's a gainward card). Anyways, I don't think the video card is the issue as I plugged in a 17" Viewsonic Optiquest monitor and now I don't have any of the issues yet. The Optiquest is not my monitor and therefore I have to eventually get my own. The issue only happened on the windows desktop and not in games...
Anyways, the monitor I want to get to replace it is this one - please tell me if it is a good purchase or not (I'm not interested in spending more than $300 before S&H for a monitor, so all LCD's are out of the question):
