Recently My Adobe Reader and Adobe Illustrator programs stopped responding to
the load command freezing up the processor (P4 2.5Ghz) up to 100% I paid
Adobe tech support for the privelege of being told that it was a XP user
settings gliche and that if i set up a new user it would go away, they were
quite right but now I have to swap between users when using Adobe software
which is very frustrating especially when copying and pasting etc. any ideas
any one

Hi Darren,

If the software functions well in another user profile, why not make the
other user profile your permanent one (for routine use). BTW, the files in
your old profile can be transferred to the new profile, using the method
adviced in this Microsoft KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=811151

Note that the user customizations such as Taskbar settings, modifications to
the HKEY_CURRENT_USER area of your old profile are not transferred.
