Hi i just got a new PC2700 512MB DDR ram for my laptop, i installed it like
the manual described, but now im not sure if it is actually working, becuase
I see no sign of changes. I was running 512mb before, so it should be 1.0GHz
now, does anyone know how to check if the ram i installed is actually workin?

right click the "my computer" icon and go to properties, it will tell you how
much ram you have installed

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System. You should see 1.0GB RAM
listed near the bottom of the General page.

If you want to test your memory, download and run memtest86 from
this site:
http://www.memtest86.com/
