Hp laptop wont boot up

if it under warranty i would call hp and set up a repair. most hard drive on laptop can be removed depends how tech you are and if the unit is in or out of warranty. if your not tech to be able to pull the hard drive out and put in a new one i would contact hp and see who in your area is a service center. if the drive is fine when a test one is put in the the mb chipset controller went bad.

Sounds like your operating system has been corrupted. Try running a system reboot. I think its f11 on the hp. Should tell you when you first turn it on before it goes to the Hp screen.
