Quick query if I may chaps..........
Looking to purchase an Asus K8V Deluxe mobo for use with a AMD 64 3000+. However, the mobo manual talks about the x8 AGP only supporting graphics cards at 1.5v (or 1.7v). The problem I have is that x8 AGP cards appear to run at 0.8v - so here is my confusion.
The plan is to buy an ATI 9600 XT but the manuals say this card needs to run at 0.8v so can anyone shed any light on this.
I've heard that you can run the cards at x4 AGP and 1.5v but if this is the case why does Asus claim this is a x8 AGP mobo?
Please help?!?!
