Example is below. I had the shift key held down while typing all
thirteen of these 'o's but, after hesitating, it released.
OOOOOOOoooooo
My problem is not that I want to type several capital 'o's but, that I
can cycle through files in my text editor using a ctl + tab and if I
stop to read a file and then continue to hit the tab key, I get tabs in
my file rather than going on to the next one. I recently switched from
a dell laptop with winxp to an IBM thinkpad with winxp. I never had
this problem on the Dell laptop. I can't tell if this is a windows
setting or an IBM thing. All I know is that it didn't happen on my dell
laptop or my last several previouse versions of Windows (including XP on
the dell laptop). I've searched the Windows and IBM help, called IBM
support, googled, but, have had no success.
Any ideas how to turn this off so that I can hold the shift key down
indefinitely?
