ok, this is the problem. (i already reinstalled windows). the drives work
just fine - they both read, and the rw writes, - data and audio. i install a
cd burning program that i want to use for it's mp3 editing, and the drives
screw up. i think maybe the drivers are conflicting??? i want to load my
choice of drivers on startup, depending on whether or not i want to use that
program, but i can not figure out how to do it.

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately

As this seems to be related to the application itself (and there is likely a
way to install it and not take over CD burning - as there is for all other
applications of this type - a matter of association really) - you should
talk to those who made the application and/or use it:

Ask your specific question here:
