I am cisco ccna and mcp qualified, 19 years old, just finished working for a retail computer helpline (THANK GOD !!!) and I am about to drop into my first network support job. Any advice anyone has for me that will benefit me in the networking industry would be greatly appreciated, from common niggling probs people have come accross to hardware and people to steer clear of.
thanks

are you looking into design or administration?

i went to the tomshardware forums and all i got was this lousy signature.

Administration, Support, Design, the company is rapidly expanding thats why they are taking on a new tech. they have purchased new premises next door to the existing property which needs cabling, setting up etc, but obviously the old building still needs admin and helpdesk support

This one might be more a common sense thing, but to add to the guy above, make sure you keep good records, lists backups etc.

Saves time when the [-peep-] will eventually hit the fan.
