I have a hard drive that wont boot, but is still good so I can access files when i hook it up as a slave drive. Is it possible to find and copy registry keys from a drive that does not contain the OS i am currently working in? More specifically, I want to copy all my AIM away messages (they're stored as registry keys) from this secondary drive, but i cant find a way to get into that registry; Regedit will only look at the registry on the primary drive with the primary OS. Any solutions?

to my knowledge, RegEdit will only import individual keys with a .reg extension. I need to find the whole registry on the second drive. I know in Win98 its stored in System.dat in teh windows folder and User.dat in each users profile folder. But I can't find them in XP, and even if I do, I don't know of a way to look at them with RegEdit.
