The heavyweight solution would be to try a soft reset.

If I had to guess, I would say that perhaps BibleReader put the
Palm into full-screen mode and somehow it got left in that mode
even after the application exited.

Unfortunately, the documentation that developers receive on how to
make your application well-behaved when you change the screen size
is a bit short on details.  (If I recall correctly, some devices
behave differently than others.  I thinks some automatically reset
things to some reasonable state after your app exits, and others
may not.  And it's hard, as a developer, to collect every Palm OS
device, because there have been like 100 of them, and they're all
maybe $300 average price.)

If olivetree has some contact info you can contact for support,
I would try to see if you can nail down a short sequence of steps
that will dupliate the problem, then write it up and e-mail them
a bug report on it.  They may not know that the problems exists.

(And if you don't get any response from them after a while, e-mail
me (remove "-usenet" ), because I will have to dig through e-mail, but
I think I have a contact over at olivetree who I could forward your
problem to.  No guarantee they're the right person, etc., though.)

You know what, I'm glad to read that ;-)

I have the same exact problem on my LD since I've synchronized the files
from my T3 (I don't have BibleReader). Ok, I know I shouldn't have done
it that way, I know I should hard reset and reinstall the files
separately, but where would the fun be?

I've tried to remove every system preference or file that may have a
link with the silk area, to no avail.

The fact that you get the same result after installing a "normal"
application is very interesting. I'll try to remove eReader, to see if
that may solve the problem...

Good question! Have you tried removing BibleReader?
