After upgrading to XP I too have problems.
When I right click on ANY area of the desktop (except an icon) it seems to
close down for a fraction of a second then come back BUT my anti virus
software has been closed.
ALSO when I am in the explorer window when I click on FILE the same damm
thing happens.
Any one with any ideas as to what is going on?

Thnx

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers

Right-click is extremely slow only when Network is enabled

Right click causes an error and crashes Explorer.exe after installing
Windows XP SP2

Hello again,
Tried the DIVX upgrade and that didn't work !!!! and the others do not
apply. I get the hourglass that sits for about 30 secs and still doesn't open
up any menus but closes down the task bar and then opens it up but my anti
virus has been closed ( I think as I still haven't figured out in this new
task menu what is supposed to be running).
Any ideas as to what else it might be as this XP is useless without being
able to right click on my desktop or on my File in the My documents folder.
Thnx again
