Windows XP Home not "completely" starting after SATA install

I just installed a new SATA drive in my system. I cloned my old drive with
Norton Ghost. Everything starts out fine, but when I get to the two-tone
blue "Windows" screen that says "Just a Moment" and then asks for my
password, it just sits there. The HDD activity light flickers, but nothing
seems to happen. I have tried booting in Safe Mode, and it gets to the same
point. I have tried booting from the Windows XP CD, but it doesn't see the
SATA drive. Please help. I don't know what else to do. Thanks.

Mike

Not too sure about norton, but with XCOPY,SATA drives do not clone
or mirror,IDE drives work fine. Are you sure "Everything starts out fine"
doesnt sound like it worked....

When you booted to the WinXP CD did you press F6 to install SATA drivers?

AND when you ran Ghost...did you install or add-in any SATA drivers?

If no to both...then of course they will fail.
