All depends on what you want to do with it.

2D, and old DX7/8 games, yeah it'll do ok, but it's not a gamer's card by any means.

well, my friend wanted an inexpensive card for his motocross madness and golf games so i just ordered this one. the biggest problem i see is that the minimum requirements include a 250watt pwr supply. he's got a dell, so i think he's probably in the low 200's. maybe a 230. i wonder if it would work.

Think ti4200 will spank 5600 for less money, right?

Yep. Ti4200 is always a good choice in the price range, although 9600 PRO is still the way to go, if cheap enough.

For the Dell, if there is no AGP slot, I got a PCI ATI 9100 last week clocked at 250/250... and it has worked good for muy sister's HP so far...
