Hello,

I am still experiencing problems trying to slipstream KB# 885250 with other
updates. I was wondering if anyone has discovered anything new.

I am creating an integrated installation of Windows XP Home SP2. I am able
to successfully integrate KB# 873333, 873339 and 885250; but get an error
when I try the next update which is KB# 885835. Here's is the error recorded
in the spslpsrm.log file:

0.016: 2005/04/17 16:58:18.390 (local)
0.016: f:\851f6de03bfbcb08aa6926314404\update\update.exe (version 5.5.33.0)
0.016: Slipstream mode

10.625: Message displayed to the user: An error occurred while attempting to
integrate this software update package. Verify that the architecture,
language, and service pack level of this software update are valid for the
target distribution folder.
10.625: User Input: OK
10.625: An error occurred while attempting to integrate this software update
package. Verify that the architecture, language, and service pack level of
this software update are valid for the target distribution folder.

In some of the other newsgroup posts, I have read about people experiencing
network problems after installing KB# 885250. Is there something wrong with
this security update? Can Microsoft fix it and release a new version in May?

I had no problems slipstreaming this Hotfix manually and any others.
Have you tried nLite to do this for you?

Also there is a forum that may help you at MSFN.org.
