Time to get another Vid card??
I have installed many video cards and mod'd(watercool, etc..) them for a few years w/o problems.
I decided to install a quick Iceberg4 fan cooler for my ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128mb. Everything was fine until I ran UT2004 and the screen was "tearing" all over the place!
So I tried Enemy Territory and everything was fine then again it started tearing as well.
My normal temps where about 40c with the stock fan and with the Iceberg fan it dropped to 30-33C. Plus a thermaltake 120mm fan on the other side of the vid card
I ran direct x diagnose and passed the "Test Direct Draw" but when I got to Test Direct 3D. I was passing the test .....until...then this came up
Quick specs:
Intel P4 3.0 800fsb / Intel D865Perl mobo / 1GB DDR400 (Kingston)
/ 250GB HD
Any ideas would be great.
Note: I deleted all the ATI drivers and re-install = same problem.
My desktop is fine and applications run smoothly with no "tearing". I treid to view a video on Windows media and there was some "tearing" as well. I cant even run my screensaver because it will start "tearing" all over the place.
