Office Professional 7 install on Windows 7 Problem

I am trying to install Office Professional on Windows 7 and keep getting an "invalid location" error. It is looking for an Outlook.MUI file and says the folder is invalid. When I go to Explorer I can see both the folder and the file. I loaded using this same disk on Vista with no problems.
Any help is appreciated.

  1. Hello gjorda01,

Try checking your hard disk drives for errors and repair them if they exist. Follow the steps mentioned in this link to check a drive for errors and repair them: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Check-a-drive-for-errors

    Any luck?

  2. I developed a workaround. I copied the install disk to my \c: drive on a Vista machine, then to DVD, then to Windows 7 \c: drive. Installed with no errors and quicker than when I first installed it on Vista.

    Thanks for the response.
