On startup the system gave a message that new hardware has been installed,
however, nothing has been changed. Then it just hangs while its says its
starting up.
Anyone know how to fix this?
Could this have been caused by a virus?

Boot to the Safe Mode menu (F8 on restart) and enable the boot log. (%windir%/ntbtlog.txt") Do a Safe Mode boot, and look at the
file. This should show the last driver loaded, probably causing the error.
