Itchy and Scratchy #1325,Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone; strikes the same rib twice but clearly 2 different notes sound. are we to believe that this is some sort of magic xylophone?

Go up and up until you see any artifacts in the benchmark or game you are using to test the oc speeds. then, rew 10 or 15Mhz for security. Yes, you should care...

Yes it will make a noticable difference in that game. I agree with the 2nd post, push untill you find the limit of each (when they artifact), then back each off 10mhz or so.

GPU artifacts look like little white dots. Memory artifacts create black polygons (triangles) on the screen.

Use 3dmark 2003 and/or 2001 to test for artifacts.

3dmark 03 Nature test is the first thing to cause core artifacts that I have found. And Dragothic (high detail), in 3dmark 2001, is a good memory artifact tester.

Me: are you saying I can't provide?
Me: cause I know I can provide.
Me: oh and I can provide money too;)
Rachel:): why do we need money when we can just stay in our room and have sex all day?

you know what, I felt the same way when I was running my card at 422MHz core. That's fast enough, why go farthur? I am glad I did, because at 425MHz I saw the grey dots meaning I pushed it too far. So to me 422 is too fast and I backed it down to 410 max for testing and 400 on a daily basis to make the card last longer. So yes it is worth it, you could be running 1 notch below max, do you want to do that? I think a responsible OC'er would find the max, esc the test once any visuals are noticed, and back it down to where you feel safe.

Contrast that to my Asus GF4Ti4200 which I was running 300/600. I then decided to push it and it didn't have problems until 330/650, which I thought was amazing! I run that card at 320/640 now instead of 300/600. But I am alot braver on cards that have served their time as aposed to new expensive ones.

I do what lid said and that’s about the clock I’m looking at. I go back to default when I’m not playing tense game though. I also turn on my turbo fans, additional cooling helps.

yeah, i moved it back down. hell, i could see if it was a slow card and i NEEDED to oc, but this thing is fast out of the box!!
