I have a geforce 5600. I'm trying to hook up my display to a tv through the s-video. It works, except that it's in black&White. I've tried all the different TV Modes, PAL/NTCS or whatever they're called. I hooked the tv up to my laptop and it displayed in colour just fine.

If you live in England, set it to Pal/L or Pal/I i can't remember exactly. That sorted my problem out (which was the same as yours).

I live in Canada tho. And i'm pretty sure i've tried all the different settings.
