Hi all,
With a FX5200 (winfast) which driver is the most suitable?
I am using the default driver at the moment, but i heard that by installing a new driver, would increase some performance... also, it default clock is 250/473, and i used winfox the o/c it to 300/500, u think i could go higher with a vantec iceberq?
I am a poor FXXKER so i can;t afford to buy speedy new gfx card.....:< so i just have to try and boost this card to its max....

can someone help please....thanks

BTW, how much u think a FX5900XT would cost by July? I do need something before i go to University!!!!

thanks

I am afraid FX5200 is beyond help. If you got it recently and still have original packaging try to return it and buy a Ti-4200 for $70. Or you could get R9600 for $100 or so. Alternatively, just get the latest Detonators from nvidia.com for your card family (FX) and your OS. Detonator drivers support all cards within the same family. The latest driver is almost always the best driver for your card. BUT even the latest drivers are not going to miraculously double the speed of your card

Finally, depending on your card manufacturer, you may be able to participate in one of those "step-up" programs where you can upgrade to a better card simply by trading in your current card and paying the difference between its purchase cost and the current price of the new card. It is safe to say that in a month or so FX5700Us may drop to as low as $120 or less. If you have the receipt for your FX5200 and you paid around $100 for it you can get the FX5700U (which is about 4 times faster) for around $20.

Probably around $120-140

Stingy people end up paying double. One kick-ass rig that will go strong for three years or one half-decent one every year?
