I got a new CPU =D

ordered a barton last week.. they said it was a Z stepping, but luckily i got Y which is awesome


im running at 2.5ghz @ 1.75vcore ;D


itll go over 2.65ghz, but it needs like 1.8-1.9vcore, but my PSU cant provide enough juice.. it keeps on turning off, and i gotta pull the power plug out of the PSU until it drains before i can reboot.. the CPU sucks enough power that all my voltage levels are way off what they should be, both rails are .5v off fluctuating wildly

its probably not a good thing for my whole system. probably gettin a new PSU soon

pretty freaking sweet for a 130$ CPU , running as a 3650+ Athlonxp

How do you rate that? AMD's model system is too messed up now. Since Athlon64 2800+ beats the AthlonXP 3200+ badly. Anyways great overclock for a Barton.

It's not messed up a64 is different to athlonxp. (you cannot compare the 2) amd changed the formula (bench marking formula) to bring it more inline with the p4c. xp model is the same a64 is new.

If I glanced at a spilt box of tooth picks on the floor, could I tell you how many are in the pile. Not a chance, But then again I don't have to buy my underware at Kmart.

2.65+ on air @ 1.8/1.9 volts is VERY good, even for a mobile.

Asus a7n8x dlx rev 2. I can run 225x11, or 220x11.5 if its cool enough. From what I've seen 225 is a really good fsb for that board. The DFI's own it in overclocking though.

I tried 230x10.5 and it didn't boot, but it could have been my memory (might have needed higher timings). It was at 11-3-3-2 2.9v.

@ 225 fsb i run 11-3-2-2 @ 2.9v.

need to get water, im sure this chip would goto 2.7+ at good temps.. but wheni say itll do 2.6, i dont mean itll stay there. heh , my PSU fluffs out above 1.8v, it wont stay at 2.6 for more than a few mins before my system shuts down hard, like i said , and hten i gotta unplug the psu
