What's the estimated date for GF6 to hit the store

What is the estimated date for geforce 6800 none ultra to hit the stores?
I"m asking this becuase I"m tight with time, i have a window of 2 weeks to decide what to buy. my options are:
the 299$GF6800 or R9800pro+512PC2700+SB Live value+80GB7200RPM
The second option is an upgrade so i dont "Really" need all this stuff but the Graphic card inorder to run my system.

Unfortionately not. ATI's x800 should be reviewed soon and both should be out on shelves in about 45 days.

So getting the R9800pro is not that bad? will I have decent fps on games like HL2 and Doom3?

9800Pro will give a good HL2 or Doom3 experience.

They simply aren't going to release a game which <i>requires</i> a card like a 9800Pro for a good 3-4 years. To do so soon would be marketing suicide. Remember most of the market is running with Geforce2 level stuff still. Us enthusiasts who have all the latest stuff overclocked like hell are a tiny fraction of all the people who'll buy those games.

Even the leaked Doom3 Alpha ran fine on my Geforce4 card, and the final game is guaranteed to run better than that did.

If you HAVE to buy now (or within 2 weeks) then the 9800Pro is still about the best option, but definitely wait to see what the x800 is like if you can.

HL2? that wait is rediculus, it was said to be finished last september. I really can't figure that out. is it still to be release this april or have they delayed yet again?

I hate delays in release dates. I never preorder, but did for Medal of Honor Pacific Assault. Well, I just got an email from ebgames that once again it has been pushed off to 8-2-04 now. That is 5 months later (so far). I wonder if I'll have it within a year of preordering it?
