i have multiple files and adware on my computer that i would like to delete.
yet every time i go to do so i get an error message! This message
says..........

cannot delete: access is denied

make sure that the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is
not currently in use.

I no for a fact that they haven't been in use so i'm kinda of stuck.

your help is appreciated,

jgreen

J,
have you gone through the system configuration utlity to ensure they aren't
running? Secondly depending on what the files are would determine the path
to get rid of them. If it's the SE.DLL trojan, good luck getting rid of it
on a xp machine. although if you can find all traces of it in the registery
and remove it from there then you should be able to delete the main file that
usually resides in the c:\windows\system32 file. I hope this gives you a
starting point, write back with the exact file names and locations for
further help please.

Is their some reason you don't want to use one of the several programs
designed for this type of thing?
