OK, this is a different take, And I would say: yes it will more than likly expand on air flow and lower temps, which means higher clock rates.

But and there alway is a butt. At What cost? I generaly get a new video card every 18 months and some do every few months. No way are people going to drop over 500 dollars on video cards. The nature of gaming and computer in general is that it changes to often.

So aside from looking odd, there the problem that the areodynamics is useless on most cases as the airflow is going against the width of the card, not straight down it.

But there are cases where the heatsink goes above. Dell made some I believe? But still, those weren't transparent cases.

I really don't think that the F1/Kart design of the cover does the job. I think it's related to the material used.

They just want to sell to stupid/people looking for looks who don't know specs....Besides they probably upped the fan by 10% and ended up with 7% better airflow....not from the casing.

I'm not at all interested in this.

I like Sapphire's VAPOR-X 2GB 4870. 2GB on a single card is more along the lines I prefer. Granted it costs around a 4890... (2x memory compared to better clocks.)

I like Asus, but this far from impresses me.
