Laptop battery replacement.

Howdy all, was hoping for a hand on this. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L500-19X. Recently the battery has started giving me warnings that I need to replace it (understandable as it's about 3 years old at this point.) The battery model is PA3534U-1BRS, I can get a new one of these relatively easy but was wondering if there are any other batteries that could fit an L500 that might have a better life span? Thanks.

I found two batteries that are said to be compatible and have higher amperages on this link - the top one is the stock battery - I've never used this vendor and they seem a little pricy
