Is there a way to get the "free" six months using the XP dialer and
not installing Earthlink's software?

Yup, just use the browser/mail reader of your choice and set it up with
Earthlink's servers and IP addresses. They should be able to tell you how to
do this.

You mean that you want the access and six month bonus discount without
establishing an account? The bonus discount is an incentive to
establish an account. There is no way around the accounting part.

(to the OP) Tell them you have an Amiga, so unless they have an installer
for that, you need the settings :p

That would be the Dell Amiga? They stil wouldn't do it, since this is a
DELL promotion.
