Just got my STV going. I have an issue with the sound. It sounds as if the
speaker is blown (krackly and distorted) but it is not. I tested another
speaker in the cabinet with the same results. I can hear the music and game
play sounds (gun fire, etc...) When I turn the volume POT, the speaker
cracks and pops, but the sound quality remains the same, just louder. If I
turn the POT all the way, the sound cuts out completely.

It also appears that the smaller speaker is not functioning at all. I
haven't any digitized speech sounds.

I actually do not remember playing this game in the arcade, so I am not
sure of the other sounds I may be missing.

Thanks!
