Recently I turned on my CPU and I got this out of range error message. I've recieved it before about 5-6 times and when I do I just go into safe mode and use system restore. It usually allows me to reboot and continue running in 1024*768. This time I got it to restart but it won't go any higher than 800*600. I have a radeon 9000 PRO, and if I go to "list all modes" 1024*768 is listed there, but if I select it I get the out of range error. I haven't changed any refresh rates or anything for that matter, it just did this at random. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure it's a refresh rate problem...see if you can't find any settings to change the refresh rate down to 60hz, and then put it at 1024x768.

That's the thing, it IS set at 60. I've also tried it at 56/70 and 72 also, and none of them worked.
