Laptop Switch Move?

Hello,
I am wanting to move my power button from its original place on my laptop and change it to "flick" switc i.e.like a light switch style.
How can I go about doing this?

start with the mb repair guild or parts list for it. most on/off switches are just small electronic switches. (push button).
you have to wire from both sides of the power button to a new switch. then cut or glue on the new switch to the case. you may get more help on a case modders web page.

Think about the power button on the laptop as a **button**, not as a **switch**. So, even if you replace it with a switch, it still has to make off-on-off transition in order to register an action.

ok, its kind of difficult to explain but I am wanting to put and old laptop into its own enclosure, so I have stripped the laptop and have got it ready to put into its enclosure, however I don't want to be fiddling to turn it on from the inside. If I could extend the the length of the button and have it mounted on the outside of the enclosure that would solve my final problem.
