I'm looking for an inexpensive GSM phone and I was hoping that
I might find some suggestions here. I have a 3390 but the battery doesn't
last very long so if I'm going to use it, I'll have to buy a new battery
and a SIM card. I realized that would cost me almost as much as if bought
a new phone so I went and picked up a Sony Ericsson T237. Ugh. I hate it.
First off, it's way to small for my taste, the menus are totally foreign
to me because I've been using Nokia phones for the last 6 years and the
worst part is that the phone is really slow. There is a lag every time I
hit a key and it's driving me nuts. I could adjust to the menus but the
lag is intolerable. I don't need a colour screen, I don't need calenders,
memos, calculators or games (I carry a PDA). Any suggestions?
I think I'm going to take this T237 back to Fido unless someone
wants to offer me a trade for another phone. I'm eligible to get a camera
for it for half price ($32.50) which I'd be happy to pick up if that is
something you want.
Thanks in advance.

Why not get a Nokia 3590. It has the same basic features as the 3390
but updated. It has monochrome screen. If you want colour get the
3395 which is the same basic phone. It does have a "funky" keypad
that you may or may not like. The 3590 has a traditional keypad.

The 3590/3595 sound fine and I like that it's a Nokia which
is familiar to me. Where can such a phone be purchased and about how
much does it cost? It would be so much eaiser if I could trade...
