Is it possile to wire a fourth button on a Double dragon game? I'm not
talking using all new connectors and stuff like that, but using what
you have already to work with. Of course you need the extra button and
some wire i know that. But I'm talking about not having to get to
complicated with having to wire something to the harness or stuff like
that? Has anyone done it?

You can do just about anything you want, all you need is a drill.

What would the point be? Double Dragon is a standard Jamma game, ie 3
buttons a controller. You should be able to play just about any other
standard Jamma game with that setup as the standard only allows for a
maximum of 3 buttons per controller without adding an additional
harness which would be game specific for the most part anyway (ie SF2
or MK).

Are you trying to add an extra button for a specific game (ie Neo Geo)
or are you trying to add like a 'credit' button or something like that?

Right now its like asking if you could put a trackball on a Galaga
control panel. You definitetly can (with a drill) but it wouldn't
really do anything because obviously, galaga doesn't use a trackball.

Its to play the Dungeons & Dragons games in it. And both of them you
need four buttons to play the games. I don't know much about wiring up
extra buttons, so i was just wondering what needs to be done.

Technical
The third and fourth player controls are mapped to the option connector
on the CPS2 board. The fourth button for players one and two are mapped
to the JAMMA connector on pins 25 and c, respectively

It wouldn't be difficult, but as you you said it would 'get
complicated by adding something to the harness.'. The hardest part
would be drilling the hole.

It's four, you have attack, jump, use item, and select item.

So are you saying that the fourth button for both players 1& 2 would
hook up directly to the board and not the jamma harness? Or would
wiring to the harness still need to be done? I wish there was someone
around this area that i knew that i could just pay to have it done.
Make it alot easier... :)
