Has anyone had "heat" problems with theirs? Like only with the 9800 xt, to where it could possibly damage their computer, because I got it, and ive read people having problems with heat in 60+ temps. SO Im not so sure ABOUT IT and if it did screw up my comp, which is a dell would it be covered in the warrenty since I customized my dell with it

My Comp=Dell 8300, 3.2 GHZ Pentium 4
1 GB of ram
ATI-Radeon 9800xt
120 GB hard drive space
Integrated 5.1 Audio

What's 60+ degrees?

The GPU? Or your CPU?

9800XT's will run hot and heat your case up more than stock, that's a sure thing.

I've never had a Dell, some places won't cover any warranty at all if the case has been opened by someone who'se not an authorized technician...

Your video card at 60C is absolutely fine, 90C is when i start worrying. If people's telling you their 9800XT's screwing at 60C then it's all bullsh*t.

People fuss about what their thermal diode is saying, instead of keeping their eye out for artifacts, etc....I saw this alot at the guru3d forums(most there have FX5900's of some sort) and I would see funny threads like "my card runs at blah blah blah temperature...what does yours run at?"
ATi_Mercenary....be a mercenary...and quit being such a worry wuss about what your temperature thingy is saying.
