Hey all, I've got a major problem I got 8040 on 3Dmark 2001SE with a RADEON 9800PRO!!!!!
The thing is that I have 2 of these Radeons 9800pro ( one for me and one for my gf) I tested them both on the same rig and puled of the same resaults.
My rig is
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-7S748L SIS 748
CPU: AMD 1900XP
MEMORY: 512 PC2100.
Using Catalyst 4.4
I wanted to check how this mother board works without the radeon, i took an old ati rage card, I ran CS on SOFTWARE rendering and got the same resaults as with the 9800pro, i mean the same problems, i got Frame drops in cs the same was at 3dmark2001se with the radeon ( normaly with my other mother board the GA 7va with the VIA 400 KT with software rendering on cs never had these problems) So I think its the SIS748 chipset which is pulling back the performance and not the Radeon9800pro :/, any tips guys?

You confirmed that your FSB and AGP settings are correct yet?

Are you sure you didn't get the Radeon 9800SE by mistake? Did you load the SiS chipset drivers?

Its 9800pro, it has no problems I"ve tested it on other systems and it worked great.
I'ts the Montherboard it self because i used software rendering and it did the same drastic frame drops as on my similar via 400KT rig I do not experience these problems :/
I'll try to uninstall the drivers again :( if it wont help i"ll probably format
