Radeon 9800 & Hard drive problems

Intel p4 3 ghz
Mach Speed 865PEDAP MB
512 Dual Channel DDR
1-160 Gig Seagate SATA drive
2- 120 Gig WD Drives
550 watt power supply

After installing the Radeon 9800 Pro, whwn Win xp booted I recieved numerous hard drive write fail errors, and "can'y find file" error messages. So many had to do a hard boot.
Thinking it may be a power issue, hooked a seperate 200 watt power supply to the power cod on the card.
Did not change a thing.
