If I do a hard-mod to my 9500np, will I have to change my current video driver... I am currently using Wizzard's soft-mod driver version 4.4... it is not a big deal, but I am wondering...

I doubt it.

But the whole point of doing the hardmod is so that you can use regular Ati Catalysts... if you want to keepo your softmod driver, don't bother with the hardmod.

Ya, but the next time I download drivers, I will not have to worry about it, or if I sell off the card to a friend, they can just download any ATI driver and get full features of the card...

ATI stopped making Win98SE drivers too, so hardmod or softmod, tweaked drivers or factory, Win 9X/ME drivers stop at Cats 4.3. There won't be any newer ones.

I am not too worried about 98SE/ME drivers... :)

This video card belongs in a computer with enough ram and cpu power to run W2K or XP...

I am.

Not only do I need a new video card but when I finally get around to getting one I'll also need to shell out $$$ for a new OS that I don't want.

Hopefully XP Reloaded will have less than 2^32 security holes.
