Installing software for camera phone

I keep getting an error message when trying to install new software for an
nec camera phone that states the software has not passed microsoft
certification or something to that effect. The software specifically asks
for microsoft, including xp home edition, which i am running. The message
gives me the option of ignoring the warning and installing anyway, but this
still doesnt work.
