AGP 4x trouble

Running a Gainward Geforce2 MX-400 64 meg on an Asus CUSL2-C at 910 mhz.
BIOS is set to run the AGP bus in 4x mode, and the card is a 4X compliant, yet the motherboard refuses to run in 4x. CPU-Z informs me I'm running in AGP Mode 0x, and Sandra says that my video card may not be AGP at all.
Is there some AGP mode jumper on the motherboard? I've checked the PDF manual with no luck. Could my slight overclocking of the FSB (7 mhz) be messing with the AGP bus? I've only ever had trouble with the PCI bus and overclocking. Thank you.

CUSL2-C will kick down from 4x to 2x when you overclock past a certain point, but I don't see that as your problem. It's more likely a chipset driver issue, try reinstalling the motherboard chipset drivers, then the GeForce2 drivers.
