Cant complete the system rating test

So i go and run the system rating test then a lil box pops up sayin that during this test the screen my flash well after a few seconds my screen goes black and it flashes black just different tints of black and then the mouse comes up to but i cant move it also during that on the black screen i get artifacts sometimes but anyway i leave it for like 30 min and then i come back and still nothing just black and then i have to restart so something is wrong. Now i dont think its my graphic card as everything else works good such as the furmark to test it and all games and 1080p movies play fine so i dont know what the problem might be any help would be nice as i want to figure this out.
