Can't figger the !$@#$ thing out. Special tool? Missing something obvious?

Ok, so no one knows? How do you get the little hook in into the holes on the
housing with torsion on them?

Mine had gotten wound tightly by the same action used to pop them out of the
holes. Had to unwind a little of the last turn and make the part with the
hook longer, all is well now.
